Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms govern your use of the MoodBrief service: moodbrief.com, app.moodbrief.com and brief links. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data.
1. Service
MoodBrief is a briefing tool for architects and interior designers (hereafter “studio”). The studio sends its client a link. The client answers a short set of questions and reacts to sample photos selected for them. The studio receives a Style report and AI analysis from the answers.
Clients do not create an account. They only answer questions.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with your Google or Microsoft account. We do not accept unverified email addresses.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and for all activity under it. If you notice unauthorised use, write to us immediately.
- The studio owner invites team members and sets their roles. The studio is responsible for its team’s compliance with these terms.
- You use MoodBrief for business or professional purposes. You must be over 18 to create an account.
3. Studio responsibilities
You are the data controller under the KVKK and GDPR for the information you enter about your clients and for your clients’ answers. MoodBrief processes this data on your behalf.
- You must have a valid legal basis for sending a brief to your client and entering their information into MoodBrief. Inform your client accordingly.
- Only enter information necessary for your work. Do not enter special categories of personal data such as health or religion.
- Fulfil your client’s requests for information, correction and deletion. You can export and permanently delete a client’s data in MoodBrief.
- Ensure you hold the necessary rights to the logos and text you upload.
4. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Send content that is unlawful, misleading, harassing or infringes the rights of others.
- Use brief links to send unsolicited bulk messages.
- Attempt to breach or disrupt the security of the service. This includes unauthorised automated access, scraping and creating excessive load.
- Copy the service or use it to develop a competing product.
- Share your account with others. Team members you invite are exempt from this rule.
If these rules are not followed, we may restrict access or close the account.
5. Credits and fees
- MoodBrief has no monthly fee. Actions such as sending a brief use credits; what each one uses is listed in the pricing section. Test briefs and incoming requests use no credits.
- Every new studio gets 3 free credits, once.
- Credits are sold in packs. Current packs and prices are in the pricing section. Prices do not include VAT.
- Credits are valid for 12 months from the day you get them. The credits that expire soonest are used first. Expired credits are removed and cannot be exchanged for money.
- Studios that bought credits in the last 12 months show their logo on client screens, and the “Made with MoodBrief” mark goes away.
- Credit purchases are coming soon. When we begin accepting payments, we will clearly state payment and refund rules here and on the checkout screen. You will see them before you buy.
- We may change pack prices in the future. A change never affects credits you already have.
- An action is not carried out if there are not enough credits; your existing data stays in place. To prevent abuse there are upper limits on open briefs and on daily AI use.
6. AI analysis
The analysis in the Style report is prepared by an AI model (Anthropic’s Claude model) based on the client’s answers. The analysis is an assistive tool. It may contain inaccurate, incomplete or misinterpreted information.
Make your professional decisions based on your own judgement. Use the analysis as a starting point for conversation with your client.
7. Sample photos
The photos shown to clients are third-party examples selected for inspiration. They come from sources such as Pinterest, Pexels, Unsplash and Google Images. They are labelled “Sample” on screen.
Copyright in these photos belongs to their respective owners. MoodBrief does not claim any rights over them and does not grant you a licence. Use the photos only to discuss style with your client. Do not publish, sell or present them as your own work.
If you are the rights holder and would like a photo removed, write to [email protected].
8. Intellectual property
The MoodBrief software, design, question templates and brand belong to MoodBrief. We grant you a limited, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.
Content you enter (client records, notes, logo) belongs to you; your clients’ answers belong to you and your clients. We use them only to provide the service. You may use Style reports freely in your own work.
We may use suggestions you send us to improve the service.
9. Service availability
MoodBrief is in early access. We try to provide the service without interruption but do not offer a service-level agreement (SLA). The service may be interrupted from time to time due to maintenance, updates or unexpected issues.
We may add, change or remove features. We will announce important changes in advance. We recommend exporting your important data regularly.
10. Limitation of liability
We provide the service “as is”. To the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of business.
- Our total liability arising from any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- These limits do not apply in cases of intent, gross negligence or where the law does not allow limitation.
11. Account closure and deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the Settings section. You can download your data before deleting. If you are the studio’s sole owner, the deletion screen shows what will happen to the studio.
Deleted data is removed from the system and from backups within 14 days at the latest.
If you seriously breach these terms, we may suspend or close your account. Where possible, we will give advance notice and time to download your data.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Turkish law. The courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction over disputes.
If you are acting as a consumer, your rights under consumer legislation are reserved.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will announce important changes on this page and by email before they take effect. If you continue to use the service after a change, you accept the new terms.
